Just found a fun blog called Chocolate and Zucchini. It's written by a Parisian woman named Clotilde and, as you might guess, it focuses mostly on food and recipes for food. Once a week she features a french idomatic expression that has something to do with food and provides translations AND a french audio recording of the expression. For example, "En faire (tout) un flan," is literally translated as "making a whole flan out of it," which means to make a big deal out of something. There are a lot of fun idioms to learn! Here is a link to the archives: http://chocolateandzucchini.com/archives/cat_french_idioms.php
The blog is written in English (made possible by her two years spent living in San Francisco learning English) but Coltilde also maintains a French version at http://chocolateandzucchini.com/vf/. Looks like comparing the French version of the site to the English would be a great way to learn more French if you have the time!
